about ME...TakeyaH Young AKA "the industrious thinker"
My name is Takeyah Young. I am a personal and professional leadership consultant, and STEM advocate who operates at the intersection of innovation, transformational leadership, and entrepreneurship as pathways for legacy building.
But wait, there's more. I bring together my technical background, program and project management, STEM-influenced experience, and data-driven analysis to provide solutions in service of organizational and programmatic sustainability. Essentially, I creatively solve problems (typically using technology) with a little less pain than organizations expected.
Through STEM Women Lead, my coaching and training company, I help pre-professional and early professional Black/Brown women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) make confident career, business, and lifestyle choices.
A very proud graduate of Lincoln University (of PA) and University of Maryland, I was recognized as a changemaker by the White House Summit on the United States of Women. I was also included in Innov8tiv's Top 100 Women Visionary Leaders to Watch; and selected by Lincoln University as one of their "Top 40 Under 40" Alumni.
When I am not nudging people to take imperfect action in their lives, step up to their gifts, and build business confidence, you can find me rocking colorful vintage dresses, drinking green smoothies, perusing design blogs, rotating my passport, and taking calculated risks…spreadsheets and all.
You can find me online at TakeyahYoung.com or on your favorite social platform @TakeyahYoung.
